A wise son brings joy to his father. Blessings crown the head of the righteous. The wise in heart accept commands. Whoever walks in integrity walks securely. The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life. Wisdom is found on the lips of the discerning. The tongue of the righteous is choice silver. The lips of the righteous nourish many. The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, without painful toil for it. The righteous will never be uprooted. From the mouth of the righteous comes the fruit of wisdom.

When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices. Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted. For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers.

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge. The plans of the righteous are just. A person is praised according to their prudence.From the fruit of their lips people are filled with good things, and the work of their hands brings them reward. Truthful lips endure forever. No harm overtakes the righteous. The righteous choose their friends carefully. In the way of righteousness there is life; along that path is immortality.

The wise woman builds her house. The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways. All hard work brings a profit. The wealth of the wise is their crown. Whoever is patient has great understanding. Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.

A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise adorns knowledge. The lips of the wise spread knowledge.

Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. When the LORD takes pleasure in anyone’s way, he causes their enemies to make peace with them. Better a little with righteousness than much gain with injustice. Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city.

Parents are the pride of their children. Evil will never leave the house of one who pays back evil for good. Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent— the LORD detests them both. The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint, and whoever has understanding is even-tempered.
